In memoriam

Most of our readers have probably heard already, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in an automobile accident yesterday. Adenhart had just pitched an excellent game against the Oakland Athletics the night before and was looking to be a very important piece of the Angel's AL West title hopes. He was 22.

Sadly, life is very fragile and it is a true tragedy when someone so young passes. No doubt this will be a hard season for the Angels and indeed all of baseball.

We here at Sal's All-Stars send our deepest condolences to all of Adenhart's friends and family.

Alex Ovechkin Is Preposterously Awesome Part XXIV

Excitment and poop

I'm sure many of you have already seen the trailer for the upcoming Spike Jonze adaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. Needless to say, both your authors are excited. Jonze is the perfect director for this beloved children's story. Below is the trailer, sporting the music of the Arcade Fire, a favorite band of mine.

Also, there is poop.

Greatness in music

Just wanted to post a few clips of some truly masterful works of music from many genres.

You may not like these pieces or artists, but to deny that these works don't possess an impressive musicality is true folly.
